Fave Craves: Herringbone Wool Tie

So I’m going to start a new category of posts about my favorite things ATM (at the moment). These will be quick hits with a picture, why I like said object, and where you can get it (if I know how).

What am I fancying ATM? This AMAZING Herringbone Wool Tie sported by Ryan Reynolds on the cover of this month’s GQ. Check this beauty out!

What a cutey! What a beauty!

Why I like it: Wool ties are GREAT for winter and they add a nice touch to white, pink, and blue shirts. Also, they are excellent when worn under a v-neck or blazer. Versatility is the name of the game here.

Where can you get it: This tie in particular can be found here: http://www.gitman.com/prod_detail_list/gitman-in-gq-magazine

You are probably flipping out at the price tag of $99. It’s very steep, which is why I am not getting this one, but I’m going to keep a lookout for cheaper versions as winter comes.

So, that’s my first fave crave. I love it – get one of these and you will garner some attention in any room you may grace.

I got one at Brook’s Brothers for $15 bucks last year. And a good place to find wool ties (although, they do not have herringbone) is http://www.thetiebar.com – their ties are great and all are $15.

Lucky! And a great point about ties is that you should never pay too much for one. As you can see, Vivek scored one for under $20.
